According to PRC Customs statistics, ranking of Chinai’s exports rose from sixth place to fifth place in world in 2002, ranking of imports remained in the sixth. Growth of both exports and imports ranked first among the World Top Ten Export and Import Countries/Regions.
According to WTO statistics, exports of China were US$ 325.6 billion in 2002, up by 22% compared with the previous year, its share in the world’s total exports rose from 4.3% in 2001 to 5.1% in 2002.HRB
Imports of China were US$ 295.2 billion in 2002, up by 21% compared with the previous year, its share in the world’s total imports rose from 3.8% in 2001 to 4.4% in 2002.
